ABOUT OUR NAILS
Are Pressed By Toy nails handmade?
Yes! Every Pressed By Toy set is handmade with care and attention to detail.
Our custom and made to order sets are individually created by hand, which means slight variations in artwork, color placement, embellishment placement, or design details may occur.
These variations are part of the handmade process and make each Pressed By Toy set unique.
Are your press on nails reusable?
Yes! With proper application, removal, and care, your Pressed By Toy nails can be reused.
For the best chance of reusing your set, avoid pulling or forcing the nails off. Follow the removal instructions included with your order and carefully remove any remaining adhesive before storing your nails.
How long do press-on nails last?
Wear time varies depending on your nail preparation, application method, lifestyle, and how well the nails are cared for.
Proper nail preparation is one of the biggest factors in getting longer wear from your press-ons.
Adhesive tabs are great for temporary or short term wear, while nail glue generally provides a longer lasting hold.
SIZING
How do I know what nail sizes I need?
For the most accurate fit, we strongly recommend purchasing a Pressed By Toy Sizing Kit before ordering your full set.
A sizing kit allows you to physically try the nail tips on your natural nails so you can determine the best fit before your set is created.
Do I have to purchase a sizing kit?
A sizing kit is strongly recommended for the most accurate fit.
If you choose to submit your own measurements instead, you are responsible for ensuring that the sizing information provided is accurate.
Pressed By Toy is not responsible for incorrectly sized nails resulting from measurements or sizes submitted by the customer.
Can I use the same sizes for every nail shape and length?
Not necessarily.
Sizing may vary depending on the shape and length of the nail tips.
For the most accurate fit, your sizing kit should match the exact shape and length you plan to order.
Please do not assume that your sizing from one nail style will automatically fit another.
What happens if I order the wrong size?
Because our nails are handmade according to the sizing information provided with your order, incorrect customer provided sizing does not qualify for a refund, replacement, return, or exchange.
Please double check your sizing information before placing your order.
ORDERING
What's the difference between Ready to Ship and Made to Order sets?
Ready to Ship / Premade Sets have already been created and are available for purchase as shown.
Made to Order Sets are created after your order is placed and require additional processing time.
Custom sets may include personalized colors, artwork, inspiration, or other design preferences depending on the type of set purchased.
Can I order a completely custom set?
Yes! Custom sets are one of our specialties.
Depending on the custom option selected, you may be able to provide your desired colors, style, aesthetic, design preferences, or inspiration photos.
Please remember that inspiration photos are used as inspiration only.
Pressed By Toy does not guarantee exact replicas of another nail artist's work. Inspiration photos are used to understand the overall look or direction you're interested in while allowing us to create a Pressed By Toy interpretation specifically for you.
Can you recreate a set exactly from an inspiration picture?
No.
Inspiration photos help us understand the colors, style, aesthetic, and overall direction you're looking for, but they are not used as exact blueprints.
Your finished set may vary from the inspiration photo based on available materials, artistic interpretation, nail length, nail shape, sizing, and the creative process.
FULL CREATIVE CONTROL
What does "Full Creative Control" mean?
When you purchase or receive a set that gives Pressed By Toy Full Creative Control, you're trusting the artist to create a one of a kind set specifically for you.
Full Creative Control means Pressed By Toy has final creative discretion over the:
- Nail length
- Nail shape
- Colors
- Nail art
- Design
- Embellishments
- Design placement
- Finishes
- Overall creative direction of the set
You may be asked to provide general preferences or inspiration to help guide the creative process. However, those preferences are used as inspiration only and do not guarantee that specific colors, designs, artwork, embellishments, shapes, lengths, or other elements will be included in the finished set.
Will I get to approve my Full Creative Control set before it's finished?
No.
The purpose of a Full Creative Control set is to allow Pressed By Toy complete artistic freedom throughout the creative process.
Unless otherwise stated, progress photos, design previews, or final approval are not included with Full Creative Control orders.
The finished design is intentionally part of the surprise.
Can I request changes to a Full Creative Control set?
Once a Full Creative Control set has entered production, design changes or revisions are not permitted.
If you have specific requirements regarding colors, length, shape, artwork, or other design elements, a Full Creative Control set may not be the best option for you.
We recommend choosing a custom ordering option that allows you to select those preferences instead.
What if I don't like my Full Creative Control set?
By purchasing or accepting a Full Creative Control set, you acknowledge that you are giving Pressed By Toy artistic freedom over the final design.
Personal dislike of the finished colors, shape, length, artwork, embellishments, design placement, or overall creative direction does not qualify the order for a remake, return, exchange, or refund.
This does not apply if your order arrives damaged, defective, or there is an error unrelated to the agreed creative control.
Does Full Creative Control include my nail sizing?
No.
Full Creative Control applies to the creative design of your set, not the sizing of your nails.
Your nails will still be created according to the sizing information you provide with your order.
You remain responsible for providing accurate sizing information.
ORDER CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS
Can I make changes after placing my order?
Please review your selections carefully before submitting your order.
Because made-to-order sets may enter production shortly after purchase, changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has been placed.
Once production has begun, your order cannot be modified or canceled.
If you notice an issue with your order, contact us as soon as possible at pressedbytoy@gmail.com.
PROCESSING & SHIPPING
How long will it take for my order to be made?
Ready to Ship / Premade Sets: Typically processed within 3 business days.
Custom & Made to Order Sets: Please allow 7 to 21 business days for processing.
Processing time is the time required to create, quality check, package, and prepare your nails for shipment.
Processing time does not include shipping transit time.
Why does processing take 7 to 21 business days?
Pressed By Toy is not a mass produced nail company.
Our made to order sets are individually created by hand, and some designs require significantly more time, detail, and artistry than others.
Our processing window allows us the time needed to create your order without sacrificing the quality and attention to detail expected from a Pressed By Toy set.
I need my nails for an event. When should I order?
Please order as early as possible.
For custom and made to order sets, we recommend ordering at least 4 to 5 weeks before your desired wear date, preferably earlier.
Processing and shipping times are estimates, and we cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date.
Does Priority Shipping make my nails get made faster?
No.
Priority Shipping only affects the USPS transit time after your order has been completed and shipped.
Selecting Priority Shipping does not shorten the 7 to 21 business day processing period for custom or made to order sets.
How long does shipping take?
Once your order has been completed and handed over to USPS, estimated U.S. transit times are generally:
Standard Shipping: Approximately 3 to 5 business days
Priority Shipping: Approximately 2 to 3 business days
These are USPS estimates and are not guaranteed.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes!
Once your order has shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking information.
Please monitor your tracking information for updates regarding your delivery.
What happens if my package says delivered but I don't have it?
First, verify that the shipping address provided with your order was correct.
We also recommend checking around your delivery area, with household members, neighbors, or your leasing office when applicable.
If you still cannot locate your package, contact your local USPS office as soon as possible. They may be able to provide additional delivery information.
Once an order has been handed over to USPS, carrier related delivery issues are outside of Pressed By Toy's control.
APPLICATION & WEAR
What comes with my press on nail set?
Your order may include application and care essentials depending on the product or package purchased.
Please review the individual product description before ordering to see exactly what is included with your selected set.
How do I apply my press on nails?
For the best results, begin with clean, dry nails and carefully follow the preparation and application instructions included with your order.
Proper preparation is extremely important. Oils, lotions, moisture, and improper nail preparation can affect how well your press ons adhere.
Can I use nail glue or adhesive tabs?
Yes.
Your application method depends on how long you plan to wear your nails.
Adhesive Tabs: Great for temporary or short term wear and may make it easier to reuse your nails.
Nail Glue: Generally provides a stronger, longer lasting hold.
Always follow the application and removal instructions provided with your products.
How do I remove my Pressed By Toy nails?
Never force, pull, or rip your press ons from your natural nails.
Follow the removal instructions provided with your order and allow the adhesive to loosen before gently removing each nail.
Proper removal helps protect both your natural nails and your Pressed By Toy set.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Can I return or exchange my nails?
Due to the handmade and custom nature of our products, all sales are final.
We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect sizing, incorrect selections, dislike of approved or Full Creative Control design choices, or other customer preferences.
Please review our full Return & Refund Policy before placing your order.
What if my order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect?
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you received an incorrect item due to an error on our part, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at pressedbytoy@gmail.com.
Please include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Clear photographs showing the issue
- Photographs of the packaging, if applicable
We'll review the information provided and determine the appropriate resolution.
CARE
How should I store my press on nails?
After removal, carefully clean any remaining adhesive from your reusable press-ons and store them safely in their original packaging or another protective container.
Keeping your nails organized and protected will help prevent scratching, bending, or losing individual nails.
How do I make my press ons last longer?
The secret is proper preparation and care!
Make sure your natural nails are clean, dry, and free from oils before application. Follow the application instructions carefully and avoid unnecessarily using your nails as tools.
Proper application, everyday care, and gentle removal can make a major difference in both wear time and reusability.
